Does anyone knowledgeable know the approximate motor power, cooling water requirements, and fuel consumption for a piston compressor that handles 25,000 Nm3/h of coke oven gas?

Coke oven gas contains impurities such as tar, naphthalene, and dust, making it unsuitable for use with centrifugal compressors
These impurities are also unsuitable for piston engines. It also requires pretreatment to remove impurities before it can be used. The power is estimated to be 5,000 KW, with a cooling water flow rate of 400 t/h
It is recommended to visit companies in the same industry for inspection. If a centrifugal compressor cannot be used due to too high an impurity content, it is likely that there are no other options available ? If a piston pump is chosen, not to mention the fact that such a high flow rate is not suitable, those impurities will likely cause the equipment to fail even before production begins, preventing any trial production from being completed. It is recommended that the centrifugal type be the most suitable option, as it is more reliable; moreover, certain measures need to be taken to purify your materials before using this method. Otherwise, the oil-catching structure on the impeller needs to be cleaned regularly.
For coke oven gas with a high tar content, it is not recommended to use reciprocating compressors and centrifugal compressors. It is recommended to use water-cooled oil-free screw compressors at stage 1 or stage 2; first increase the pressure to 0.5–0.6 MPaG or 1.0–1.2 MPa, and then use a centrifugal compressor or a reciprocating compressor to raise the pressure further. The water-cooled oil-free screw compressor is capable of compressing three-phase media containing dust, oil, and water. After compression, the gas proceeds to a gas-liquid separator, where the majority of the dust and tar are removed from the gas.
