The bypass of a centrifugal compressor is used only for backflow to prevent surging, right, and not for regulating flow rate? If the surge flow rate of the compressor is 80%, does the anti-surge valve start to open when it reaches the anti-surge line of 85%? If backflow occurs, should the amount of backflow be such that the flow rate inside the compressor reaches 100%, or is it sufficient to ensure that the flow rate inside the compressor remains above the surge flow rate?

The bypass of the centrifuge serves primarily to prevent compressor surge by regulating flow, and it is used to handle emergency situations, reduce load, manage temperature and pressure changes during startup and shutdown, etc. It is manually opened to an appropriate extent when the load is low, in order to ensure the safe and stable operation of the compressor and keep it away from the surge zone. 2. I don’t understand the meaning of the second point. Can it be assumed that the flow rate is only 80% of the surge flow rate? In automatic mode, the anti-surge valve opens linearly to keep the compressor within a safe range, that is, above the surge flow rate. 3. Any flow rate above the anti-surge flow rate will suffice.
The vent valve of the centrifugal unit is designed to open momentarily in order to prevent surging in the unit, thereby putting it into an unloaded state. If the unit is oversized and adjusting the inlet valve is not sufficient, the vent valve must be opened to release excess gas and avoid surging. Roughening is automatically detected by the unit, and it is generally not controlled manually by humans.
