After the hydraulic oil is emulsified, the drop in pressure does not occur immediately; it is a gradual process. If the operating conditions are at low temperatures, water freezes into ice, and the drop in pressure is very significant; this is a special situation. Why is it a slow process? Because water molecules stick together in oil, due to the strong attraction between them. The presence of oxygen in water leads to significant corrosion of hydraulic steel components. The pressure remains stable only as long as the sealing surfaces of the mechanical check valves are in good condition; however, due to corrosion, the time during which pressure can be maintained becomes shorter and shorter, and this downward trend becomes increasingly apparent. Additionally, the oil pump operates with oil as a lubricant; if there is water in the oil, the lubrication effect is poor, which creates unfavorable conditions for the pump’s operation. Mechanical vibrations and abnormalities also become more apparent in such situations. With the presence of water, the liquid film on the lubricated surfaces or lines becomes thin, which reduces the strength of that film. This leads to issues with the strength of oil seals as well as mechanical friction losses. I hope some suggestions can help you
