Selection of pump type

Hello, experts! I have a question regarding pump selection. There is a U-shaped pipeline, and the lower section of this U-shaped pipe is relatively long; it is feasible to drain the liquid from this section during shutdown. I would like to use a pump to transfer the material inside the pipe. Should I choose a self-priming pump, or some other type?
Isn’t everything that reaches the lowest point sent to the emission system? If you really need to pump, it depends on the properties of your material; it’s recommended to have a diaphragm pump for transferring the material!
It is recommended to install underground collection tanks to receive the materials discharged from various locations via drainage systems; if the flow rate is low, mobile diaphragm pumps can be considered, as they are simple to use
