There are 5 cooling towers; one of the reducers exhibits excessive vibration. It is suspected that there is a problem with the sensor, but when the sensor is used on other reducers, the readings are normal. Conversely, when the sensor from those other reducers is used on this reducer, the readings become abnormal, and the same situation occurs when the channels are swapped. But when using a magnetically attached vibration meter to measure the reducer, the vibration levels are not above the acceptable limit; I’m not sure why I need some help.
It is recommended not to overlook this; the reducer needs to be checked.
I wonder if it’s possible to use human senses to try this out, that is, by using a stethoscope or touching the area to check for any abnormalities. Generally speaking, human perception can be considered quite reliable for making judgments; as long as it’s possible to use it, it’s worth giving it a try.
