High system pressure causes the check valve at the compressor outlet to open and close frequently, as well as the return valve to release pressure repeatedly
Surge in centrifugal air compressors refers to the number of times the exhaust pressure changes as detected by the system within 0.3 seconds; generally, once surge is detected, the system immediately opens the relief valve to allow unloading and venting
The check valve at the inlet and outlet is installed in the wrong direction, which can occur during startup; problems with the positioning device of the anti-surge valve can also lead to issues during operation
