I have a centrifugal pump that is used for pumping brine, and it is equipped with a modular, washable mechanical seal. I would like to ask everyone how this cooling water pipe should be installed – the mechanical seal has an inlet and an outlet at horizontal levels. If tap water is used directly, the water from the outlet will keep flowing away, resulting in waste. Is there any way to improve this situation? Is this type of mechanical seal really the only option?
