Are hot air furnaces and gas furnaces the same concept, or are there any differences? Is the hot air required for the drying and granulation process of calcium chloride supplied by a hot air furnace or by a gas furnace? Are there any materials balance and energy balance data for calcium chloride drying and granulation systems?
The air in the hot blast stove should be heated and then fed directly into the furnace; only hot air enters the furnace, with no fuel gas, and there is no direct combustion inside the furnace. A gas stove burns fuel inside the stove.

Both hot air furnaces and gas furnaces require fuel combustion to heat the air; essentially, there is not much difference between them, with the only distinction lying in the location where heat exchange takes place. A gas furnace is responsible for combustion, while the flue gases exchange heat with the air through a heat exchanger located elsewhere
