Our company uses double-end face seals for the Propylene pumps, with a flushing scheme of 11+52. However, this issue has arisen during operation: in several pumps, the temperature of the pipeline at the BI port of the seal is significantly higher than that at the BO port. It is suspected that the oil in the seal oil tank is not circulating. What are the possible causes of this phenomenon, and how should it be addressed?
What is the viscosity of the buffer, and what is the pump speed?
Is the inlet temperature higher than the outlet temperature? ? ?
