The steam turbine generator set is not rotating; while the auxiliary oil pump is operating to filter the lubricating oil, lubricating oil is leaking from the oil seal of bearing No. 3; In this unit, bearing 2 and bearing 3 are located in the same bearing housing; bearing 2 and bearing 3 share one lubricating oil inlet pipeline. The pressure of the lubricating oil in this inlet pipeline is 2.7 kilograms, which is much higher than the normal value of 1.3 kilograms. Oil return flow can be observed in the return oil pipeline. The pressure of the lubricating oil at the inlet of bearing 1 is normal, at around 1.5 kilograms, and there is no oil leakage from the oil seals. Could someone please explain the reason for this?
Several factors can cause this phenomenon: 1. The range hood is not turned on, and the high viscosity of the oil leads to a higher oil level inside the bearing box, resulting in leakage at the seal. 2. The oil seal is damaged, or there is no packing in the oil seal. For reference. It would be best to include some pictures to facilitate discussion.
Could it be that a flow control orifice plate was omitted on the lubricating oil pipeline? Is the oil temperature too low?
1. The oil seal gap is large, or the oil return hole of the oil seal is blocked, or the amount of oil returning due to low oil temperature is greater than the amount of oil entering; what is the current oil temperature? 2. For what size of unit, is a oil pressure setting of 2.7 sufficient, or would it be better not to increase the oil pressure? It is recommended to adjust the inlet oil pressure again based on the equipment specifications. 3. The oil extraction fan at the top of the tank at the Xiyou station is not turned on; it is recommended to start this fan whenever the oil pump is operated
The normal oil pressure is 0.15 MPa; there were no leaks when the turbine was rotated in this way before
The pressure inside the bearing housing is high; check the vent pipe – if it’s not there, add one; it’s not difficult.
2. The inlet and outlet pressures and temperatures of the lubricating oil for bearing No. 2 are the same; one bearing leaks while the other does not, which is likely due to inconsistent clearances!
If the oil inlet pressure is too high, adjust it down appropriately; operate the machine at a pressure of 0.08, and then adjust it back to its normal level when the machine is started up
