What happens to saturated steam when it passes through a compressor? Does it become saturated steam at even higher temperature and pressure? Is it a process of adiabatic heating and pressurization? Will there be condensate?
It depends on the medium being compressed; if it is pure water vapor, higher temperatures and superheated vapor are required. If organic vapors are being compressed, condensation may occur, so it depends on the specific type of vapor involved
After compression, a water vapor compressor produces superheated steam, and water must be sprayed during the compression process.
