Hello everyone, I work in the atmospheric and vacuum distillation unit. The three dehydration units I installed do not perform well in terms of sedimentation within the reflux tank, which results in oil being carried over in the Dehydration product (this is not due to a malfunction of the instruments), and the environmental standards are not met. My friends, there isn’t really any good way to recover this portion of oil, nor are there any devices that can be used to separate the naphtha from the water. Thank you all.
I think it’s better to look for the cause of this poor ‘settling effect’ from that perspective.

The reason is the high water injection volume, but they don’t want to reduce it.
Every piece of equipment has its own manufacturing conditions; when those conditions are exceeded, the equipment will not perform as required. At present, the production principle relies mainly on sedimentation; if other methods are added, they would likely fall within the same category as well, merely increasing the sedimentation volume. Therefore, it is recommended to follow the equipment production standards as the best approach. Overloading is not advisable. Especially for workers. For reference.
