Axial play of four-point contact bearings

Recently, a batch of four-point contact bearings (QJ) was purchased. After installation and measurement of the rotor’s play, it was found that the play of some shafts was above the upper limit of the standard range for axial play, while the play of some other shafts was below the lower limit of that standard range. I would like to ask everyone: does the size of the clearance only cause a change in the contact angle? What effects does an excessive or insufficient axial play in a quad-angle contact bearing have on its operation? Does there be any change in the heat generated during operation?
