It is important to minimize clumping of the materials on the walls of the dryer, as this can reduce heat transfer; at the same time, it is necessary to avoid clumping due to high viscosity of the materials, which could lead to problems such as disruptions in the drying process Main problem: The material has high viscosity; 1. It tends to stick to the walls, resulting in reduced heat transfer. 2. Unable to discharge slag. 3. The material enters the gas phase tube.
The traditional process uses a rotary drum drying method, which easily leads to the caking issue mentioned by the poster, thereby affecting production.
For sticky materials, integrated crushing and drying equipment can be used, such as for starch/PTA, etc. To prevent materials from sticking to the walls inside the equipment, a high airflow rate can be used. It is not recommended to use material pushing for discharging, as this can cause blockages at the discharge outlet.
