Hey guys, could you explain to me in simple terms the principles and functions of mechanical seals and lubricating oil seals? I’m a newcomer to the chemical industry
It uses materials with extremely high hardness and surface finish in their cross-section, as well as an extremely low coefficient of friction, for sealing purposes. Then there is a spring that applies a certain compressive force, for reference.
