We use centrifugal chlorine turbines from KKK Company, and their mechanical seals are kept leak-free by filling them with nitrogen. We have already replaced the mechanical seals once with domestically produced ones; we would like to discuss under what circumstances or after how long of use they need to be replaced Is the nitrogen flow too high or too low? The purity of chlorine has been unstable during this period; could it be that the internal leakage from the mechanical seal is increasing?
Didn’t the manufacturer provide any instruction manual at that time?

A high-high alarm for seal leakage indicates a significant fault with the seal, which requires replacement at an appropriate time; this decision should be based on the specific conditions on site. The seals come with the manufacturer’s test data; by comparing this with the control data for KKK seals, it is possible to determine the leakage level of domestic seals. If a double-end seal structure is used, the operation is relatively stable at the beginning, and the purity of the material can meet the process requirements. Recent declines in indicators, such as the purity of incoming materials and the trend in leakage flow rates of the control system, are used to comprehensively determine whether leakage on the inside of the seal has increased.
