What is the difference between a soleplate, a mounting plate, and a base plate?

What are the differences among the above three in the motor equipment base plate?
Mounting plate: Baseplates, skids, soleplates, and rails. Soleplates: Grouted plates installed under motors, bearing pedestals, gearboxes, turbine feet, cylinder supports, crosshead pedestals, and compressor frames. Baseplate: A fabricated steel structure designed to provide support for the entire compressor and/or the drive equipment as well as other accessories that may be mounted on it. In my understanding, a mounting plate is an installation plate, including the soleplate used for installation in the foundation and the baseplate used for the equipment’s base

You’re welcome. I understand that the soleplate is in the concrete over the base holes, so whether it’s pried off or not doesn’t make a difference. Personally, I think it is related to the structure of the anchor bolts and the pre-drilled holes; many devices also lack a soleplate.
