The downward displacement of the first-stage piston rod in the reciprocating machine should be negative near one end and positive at the other; currently, there are fluctuations in the piston rod’s displacement, but it has largely returned to its original value. What could be the reason?

The piston rod displacement is in the longitudinal axis direction. I’m not sure whether your equipment is vertical or horizontal since the piston rod is sinking. Given such a trend line, it should be disassembled for inspection. For reference.

1. Were the piston rings and support rings recently replaced, and is it only after running in that the settlement value stabilizes?
