The MGE4-74/23 type circulating gas labyrinth compressor, developed by this company for Zhenhai Refining & Chemical’s 500,000 tons per year polypropylene plant, completed its load test on January 17th at the factory successfully; all performance indicators during operation met the design requirements. It is expected to be packaged and shipped by the end of this month. This unit was independently developed by Reciprocating Machine Company, filling several technical gaps in China. The allowable rod load of this unit reaches 360 kN, making it the labyrinth compressor with the highest allowable rod load in the world at present ； A single unit can meet the demands of a 500,000-ton/year polypropylene plant, representing the highest production capacity achievable by a single labyrinth mixer in China ； For the first time, a new airframe structure along with a corresponding structure to prevent oil mist dispersion was developed, addressing the issues of contamination and loss caused by the dispersion of lubricating oil ； The cylinder features an innovative design that reduces its clearance, addressing the issue of low volumetric efficiency in labyrinth machines with high pressure ratios. The comprehensive performance of this unit reaches world-class levels, breaking the long-standing monopoly of foreign companies in the field of large-scale labyrinth compressors and addressing the issue of reliance on imported products for this type of equipment; it holds strategic significance for enhancing the capability of domestic equipment.
