Methanol feeding gear pump

I have a question: which manufacturer offers the best cost-performance ratio for domestic gear pumps used for adding methanol? Methanol might not be very clean; there is a pipeline filter.
Methanol has very poor self-lubrication properties; is it advisable to use a gear pump?
The gear pump was chosen because methanol is currently added using a diaphragm pump. However, since the breather valve on the methanol tank is one-way (allowing only air to enter but not to exit), changes in the liquid level inside the tank result in corresponding pressure changes. As a result, the diaphragm pump experiences large variations in its dosage due to these pressure changes; therefore, another type of positive-displacement pump, such as a gear pump, was considered. If the gear pump is not suitable, are there any other recommendations? Plunger pump?
