How long does it take to replace the official dry gas seal in a centrifugal compressor?
Removing and installing instruments, removing and installing bearings, removing and installing couplings, removing and installing thrust discs; it takes approximately 4-6 hours to replace the dry gas seals on both sides for one complete set of tasks
It depends on your level of preparation – whether it’s a new unit or an existing one in use. Our units were replaced after they stopped operating; this process involves replacement, isolation, removal of auxiliary equipment and pipelines, and then reinstallation. The whole process takes around 5-7 days. If preparations are thorough, there are enough personnel, and there is no shortage of tools and spare parts, it can be done in as fast as 3 days
Shutdown for replacement, disassembly and inspection, instrument calibration； Normally, it takes 2-3 days ； For emergency repairs, it depends on the coordination among various teams.
