This marks the successful commissioning of the first air compressor for a pumped storage power station developed independently in our country, breaking the long-standing foreign technological monopoly in this field and effectively accelerating the upgrade of domestic key energy technology equipment toward higher standards of sophistication, sustainability, and intelligence. The air compressor is a crucial device that provides air pressure for key operational functions such as unit startup braking, speed control system operation, and phase-regulated operation. Unlike the belt-driven transmission method used in the air compressors of imported pumped storage power stations, the air compressors of this domestically produced pumped storage power station employ an innovative \"coaxial direct-drive integrated architecture\".
