By how many calories is the calorific value of straw biomass fuel lower on average compared to coal?/
The calorific value of biomass fuel is about half that of standard coal.
Basically, it doesn’t exceed around 2700

Biomass fuels have a high calorific value, ranging from 3,800 to 5,000 kilocalories per kilogram, or between 16,000 and 21,000 in other units. The calorific value of coal, on the other hand, varies greatly; low-quality coal waste fuels have a value of less than 3,000 kilocalories per kilogram, while high-quality bituminous coal can reach 8,000 kilocalories per kilogram
