Dear everyone: What forming processes are used for the forming of 2205+Q345R composite plate heads? Cold stamping, hot stamping?
I am currently facing a problem: it is said that the hot forming of duplex steel composite sheets can cause severe damage to the composite layer, even leading to cracking. Cold forming is also difficult to carry out due to thickness limitations, which is quite confusing.
Using medium-temperature forming processes, if the plate thickness is within the press’s capacity, cold pressing is the best option; for thicker plates, when the equipment’s capacity is insufficient, a medium-temperature process must be employed.
What is the concept of a medium-temperature process? Are there any special requirements? Thank you!
I heard that spinning can easily cause damage to the layers of composite panels, and may even lead to the breakdown of such panels; I don’t dare to try it!
