According to GB150.3-2011, P162, 6.4.3, the standard specifies that the total width of all openings in the radial cross-section at the flat cover shall not exceed 1/2Di; moreover, the distance between the centers of any two adjacent openings shall be greater than 1.5 times the average diameter of those two openings and less than or equal to 2 times that diameter. Why does GB150 specify here that: \"The distance between the centers of any two adjacent holes should be greater than 1.5 times the average diameter of the two holes, and less than or equal to 2 times that diameter\"“
My understanding is that the two adjacent pipe openings should be kept within the range of joint reinforcement
I think what was said upstairs is correct – it’s to control the two adjacent holes. In the diameter direction of a circle, the two holes might be quite far apart, but adjacent holes can be very close to each other. For example, in the case of openings on the cover of a container or equipment, if they are arranged in a circle centered around a common point, then in the diameter direction the two holes will definitely be far enough apart. However, the hole located next to a certain hole might be quite close, requiring reinforcement.
