For a rectangular pressure vessel with dimensions of 20 mm in length, 125 mm in width, and 1000 mm in height, operating under a pressure of 25 MPa at 380°C, and with openings made on its upper and lower surfaces, the cross-sectional properties can be calculated using GB150-2011. But how is the wall thickness for these upper and lower surfaces determined? Is it calculated by viewing it from another angle as a cross-section? It should still be calculated based on end caps or flat lids.

The wall thickness of rectangular pressure vessels is calculated using formulas; you can find them in the appendix.

The appendices to GB/T150 contain design calculations for rectangular pressure vessels, which are applicable to internal pressure conditions. At the same time, in SW6, calculations can also be carried out according to the appendix of GB150. However, the calculated value is relatively high. As I understand it, it is possible to use different cross-sections for the calculation of rectangular pressure vessels, and then take the largest value as the final design thickness.
