Because I’ve been working on a molten salt thermal storage project recently, and ultra-high power electric boilers are required for it. At present, the only electric boiler that can directly use a 10KV power supply and achieve a power output of over 50MW is the electrode-type boiler. The principle of an electrode boiler is to apply electricity to the water in order to directly heat the boiler water, which has certain thermal conductivity. However, the electrical conductivity of molten salts is much higher than that of deoxygenated water; therefore, could an electrode boiler be used to heat molten salts?
Let’s put it this way: there is currently no information available regarding this furnace. There are already few manufacturers in China that produce electrode boilers, and those that exist only make hot water and steam boilers; even abroad, people have never heard of 10KV heaters used for molten salt
For molten salt heating, electric heating is the most mature and commonly used method at present. Get in touch with \"Huawei Molten Salt Pumps\" and ask them if they have any solutions; they specialize in molten salt heating systems
Hello, it’s great to meet you. We are already working on this project; could we add you as a friend so that we can work together to contribute to it? My WeChat ID is 18016384056. I hope you’ll add me on WeChat!
