Recently, upon reviewing the standards, it was found that GB/T14976-2012 requires intergranular corrosion testing for austenitic stainless steel pipes, whereas GB24511-2009 allows it to be decided whether to conduct intergranular corrosion testing on austenitic stainless steel sheets depending on the requirements. What is the purpose behind such strict regulations on austenitic seamless fittings?
Go and check the provisions on page 53 of HG/T20580~20585-2011. It’s hard to explain in detail; the requirements are too many.
I checked the “six-in-one” standard and couldn’t find any relevant regulations.
You have chosen the fittings according to GB/T14976-2012; these fittings have already been tested for intergranular corrosion. If the application does not involve conditions that could lead to intergranular corrosion, you can choose fittings that comply with other standards. You can also request them to conduct intergranular corrosion tests by using other standards.
Intergranular corrosion tests are only necessary in conditions where there is a tendency for intergranular corrosion. For details, refer to the requirements in 6.1 of HG/T20581-2011.
GBT14976-2012 stipulates that this must be done as part of the standard, and it must also be indicated on the quality certificate.
Well, different standards set different requirements; there are regulations for pipes and separate regulations for sheets, and these aren’t contradictory.

This doesn’t seem to have much to do with intergranular corrosion, does it?
I know this; GBT14976-2012 requires intergranular corrosion testing for all austenitic materials, while GB13296-2013 does not require it for some austenitic materials. I’m a bit confused too.
:Lol means. . . . . . Many don’t do any of it; just writing something that meets the requirements is enough. .
