This should be clearly specified in the boiler’s operating procedures. The static pressure in the air chamber is used primarily to determine whether everything is working properly inside the chamber. Fluctuations in air pressure that occur due to blockages in the chamber or abnormal conditions related to the return air (such as coking, detached air nozzles, or blocked nozzles) allow for timely adjustments to the operation, thereby preventing such issues from occurring. During boiler operation, it is difficult to measure the bed pressure and the pressure difference across the material layer; generally, data from cold-state tests are used to calculate the pressure difference across the material layer based on the static pressure in the air chamber and the resistance of the air distribution plate. If coking occurs in the furnace, the static pressure in the air chamber will increase, but the air volume will decrease. High-value alarms can also occur at the furnace temperature measurement points.
