Reduce ash accumulation in boiler tubes

I was looking at some information, and one of the methods to reduce ash accumulation in boilers is to use pipes with a small diameter, as this makes it less likely for ash to accumulate. In other words, large-diameter pipes tend to accumulate dust; I don’t quite understand this. Please explain it to me, experts – extra points for that!
Small pipe diameter results in high flow velocity, with less chance of dust accumulation
The heat transfer tube has a small diameter; when the required heat transfer amount for the same load is designed, the number of tube bundles increases accordingly, resulting in an increased heat transfer coefficient. The total heat absorption area decreases relatively.

The pipe spacing/diameter determines the flow velocity, and the flow velocity determines the ash collection situation.
I’m not sure whether it’s water pipes or fire pipes; in my opinion, the smaller the spacing between the pipes, the denser their arrangement, and the more likely it is that dust will accumulate. Or perhaps it’s the smaller diameter of the pipes that makes dust accumulation more likely (in the case of fire pipes)
