On November 14, 2017, the National Technical Committee for Standardization of Boilers and Pressure Vessels held the “Second Training and Awareness Session for Personnel Working with Boilers and Pressure Vessels in 2017” in Qingdao. Yang Guoyi, the deputy secretary-general of this committee, attended the session and delivered a speech. The training included presentations by the main drafters of various standards as well as authoritative industry experts who explained the content of those standards. More than 300 trainees from across the country attended this training and dissemination session. Registration is now open for the first Hainan training and awareness session in 2018; please keep an eye on our website. We welcome boiler and pressure vessel industry professionals, in particular those who hold certification for pressure vessel design and need to complete continuing education credits to renew their certifications, to sign up enthusiastically! Can this be understood as meaning that although the certification for auditing has been abolished, those who previously held such certifications still retain the qualification to conduct audits, as long as they continue to participate in retraining?
By continuing to attend retraining, you can still consider yourself qualified for auditing, but it’s uncertain whether the review panel will share this view when assessing the renewal of your company’s design qualification.
The classes organized by the National Standards and Specifications Committee should work fine.
