For a 20m3 flat-bottomed conical-top storage tank, which standard should be used? Some manufacturers have designed it for us in accordance with standard 50341, requiring the use of anchors and foot bolts, but our past experience shows that these are not necessary. Some manufacturers design them according to 470003.1, without any anchoring. How can the scope of application for these two standards be defined?

However, the manufacturer insists that this type of storage tank was mentioned in the older version of 470003, but not in the new version; therefore, the new version is not applicable, and design based on 50314 must be used. . Where in the standards can one clearly determine the scope of use?

NBT47003 does not contain any information regarding flat-bottom tanks; it is different from the previous JB4735. It is better to use GB50341. The current standards involve significant changes in the calculations related to anchoring compared to version 03 – many situations where anchoring was not required before now necessitate its use according to the new standards
Micro-positive pressure storage tanks generally require the use of anchoring bolts
Whether anchoring is required according to GB50341 depends on the calculation of the lifting force
Since there is no design pattern for flat-bottomed cone-shaped top tanks in NB/TT47003, GB50341 should be used for the design
