Calculated according to the A-type connection form, the tube plate is sandwiched between two large flanges, but the tube plate only has more bolt holes. It used to be that the tube sheet also served as a flange. Now, although the tube sheet has bolt holes, it does not function as a flange.
I don't quite understand what the poster meant. I think it is appropriate to calculate according to type aA. Type a tube plate has no flange bending moment, which is very different from type f. If the shell side pressure of the f-type tube is similar, you can use the e-type calculation in SW6, otherwise analyze the design.
What are the specific operating conditions of the main shell side of the building? Are the size conditions of the small flange allowed?
It's fine as usual. It's just the pipe box flange. As long as the pressure level is met, there's nothing wrong with it.
