A small project company wants to assign this work to us; how should we negotiate the price with them? Should we negotiate with the company a price based on cost plus commission, or give the company a certain amount of money while keeping the rest for ourselves? This project involves everything from the initial business negotiations to the final completion and acceptance, including design, construction, procurement, installation, and debugging. How can these costs be controlled, and how should the final profits be distributed among the various parties involved? ?
Is it for your company or is it a personal project for you? ? If you’re having it done by your company, just talk honestly with the company about it. If it’s a private project you’re handling, it depends on your position in your company. ;P
