In the current manhole standards, are there specific methods for calculating the dimensions of the shaft lugs for Type B covers?
What the original poster is asking about is likely the flange shaft lug. Once the lateral contact position between the lug and the flange is determined, rotating the contact line 120 degrees counterclockwise will help determine the position of the lower edge of the flange shaft lug.

Wrong, wrong – what I want to know is the dimensions of the cover shaft lugs. According to HG/T21518, there are two types of cover shaft lugs: Type A and Type B. The dimensions of Type A lugs can be determined fairly easily, while it’s not so simple to determine the dimensions of Type B lugs.
