Can an air storage tank be made without inspection holes (manholes or access holes)?
If the air is humid, there should be inspection holes; otherwise, it’s difficult to determine the extent of rusting.
Why not design a manhole? The cost increase isn’t that much; it’s convenient to carry out maintenance and regular inspections later on.
Forged parts are much more expensive than steel plates. How about designing two hand holes?

A customer needs eight air storage tanks with a capacity of 5 cubic meters, a diameter of 1400 mm, and a design pressure of 0.8 MPa. Someone said the price is 6 thousand, but our calculation shows it should be much higher.

Six thousand? I glanced down at my phone that was charging; it’s equivalent to eight air tanks, yet it can’t even last a whole day without needing to be charged – it’s so embarrassing! It’s better to stay away from such manufacturers and customers!
The device should be equipped with inspection holes or manholes to facilitate internal inspections in the future; safety comes first.
At 0.8 MPa, forgings are completely unnecessary. Just use a non-standard manhole; we often do that.
