The manufacturer sent us the wrong product; can we not tell them? It was supposed to be two 1000L reaction vessels, but they sent the wrong ones – they delivered two 2000L vessels instead. Ask whether it was sent by mistake or simply done wrong from the start. If it was sent by mistake, they will discover it sooner or later. If it’s a mistake, then just let it be a mistake

You can have the process team do some calculations – if 1000 is required for the process design, is it really okay to use 2000? Don’t regret it when an accident happens later. If the process calculation is correct, it can be used with confidence, and compensation can also be sought from the manufacturer. . . . . If the process calculations fail, there is an even stronger reason to file a claim; your mistake was failing to conduct a thorough check before installation. In our company, the diameter of the 1000L reactors is 1000, while that of the 2000L reactors is 1200; the difference in height is within 500, so it’s not that big of a difference: lol

There are no design changes, but the equipment specifications have changed; to identify potential risks, it’s best to consult a design institute. It’s not true that the larger the reactor, the better – there is always a minimum processing load required
