The storage tank has a diameter of 15 meters and a height of 25 meters. The owner finds it difficult to bend angle steel and wants to replace it with channel steel. However, the standard used is edge-banding angle steel, and there is no calculation method for channel steel. How can this situation be resolved? Is there a standard that supports the calculation method for channel steel?

Just bring the angle steel pieces together and weld them – isn’t that what creates a channel steel? That’s how manufacturers produce it. It’s a basic skill for riveters; is it that difficult to do?
Weld several angle irons together and feed them into a rolling machine – it’s easy to roll out an arc.
I’m now wondering if there is a calculation method for steel channels with flanged edges
So much waste with channel steel! Separating one channel steel saves a lot of material!
The calculation method is the same; generally, there’s no need to use channel steel!
In actual construction sites, angle steel is used almost everywhere, while channel steel is quite rare
