The two devices are the same, from the same manufacturer; they’re like heat exchangers A/B. Can the product numbers for such devices be the same? ? ? The device codes, tag numbers, and such will definitely be different. . . A quality certificate arrived today, covering two devices, but the product numbers are the same. . .

If the product number is the product model, it can be the same; in that case, your device code can be considered as the factory serial number. The factory serial number is unique and cannot be the same
