In the design of the tube sheet flange, I chose a nominal pressure of 6.4 Mpa. The diameter of my tube sheet flange is 1400 mm. However, according to the standards, there is no value of 1400 mm at 6.4 Mpa; the maximum diameter specified is 1200 mm. Since I need data corresponding to a diameter of 1400 mm, what should I do?
Then flange calculations are the only option; there’s no other way. However, flanges designed and calculated on one’s own are generally quite thick.
Refer to the dimensions specified in GB/T 13402-2010 \"Large-diameter steel pipe flanges\", but they must meet the requirements outlined in the section on flanges of GB/T 150.3-2011. The calculation theories for pipe flanges and vessel flanges are different, which may result in failure to pass the verification.
