What are these holes around the nut?

As the title suggests, look at the picture. Are these holes around here meant to make disassembly easier? ?
Is it used for preventing loosening with series-wound steel wires?
Is it used for lubrication while online?
This is the nut for the high-pressure bolt; when tightened using a hydraulic tensioner, this hole is used to insert the rod used to move the nut, allowing the nut to be rotated.

This nut also has holes; is its function the same?

The small hole (through-hole) on this is used to pass a steel wire for lead sealing – in order to seal it together with the main body of the safety valve below and prevent it from being removed or illegally adjusted
It’s different; yours is connected, while the one in my diagram isn’t connected – it’s connected all the way around
