Normally, it automatically ignites when the return oil temperature drops 3 degrees below the set point. However, since yesterday, it has failed to ignite; the entire burner system remains inactive. This has resulted in insufficient heating in the workshop. I’d like to ask the experts: what could be causing this failure to ignite?
First, consult the boiler manufacturer; the burner is generally linked to the outlet oil temperature. There is also a series of conditions for starting the burner; failure to meet any one of them will result in failure to ignite.
There are many reasons why a burner’s interlock system does not initiate automatic ignition; these can be process-related or equipment-related, with equipment issues being the most common. Examples include fuel gas pressure being outside the acceptable range, fuel gas containing liquid components, failure to pass self-check tests, and abnormal flame detection. If the burner shows no response at all, it is necessary to check the power supply and the interlock triggering mechanism first
