There is a storage tank with a diameter of 2600 mm and a height of 3900 mm; the medium contained is 20% ammonia water. It has a flat bottom and a flat top, an internal volume of 20 m3, and operates at normal pressure and temperature; Is it appropriate to choose the design standard NB/T47003.1-2009 (Steel Welded Atmospheric Pressure Vessels), or the standard GB 50341-2014 (Design Code for Vertical Cylindrical Steel Welded Oil Tanks)?
Personally, I think a pressure-rated container design should be used; the fixed roof type specified in 50341 doesn’t have a flat roof
Designed in accordance with NB47003.1; indeed, this type of flat cover requires reinforcement, per HG20582
Ammonia water cannot be considered an oil either.
The medium is not highly toxic, the volume is less than 100 m3, and design per NB47003.1 applies.

There is a view that the original standard for normal-pressure vessels features a flat-bottom structure, which is not present in the new version; therefore, design should be carried out in accordance with GB/T50341.
For pressure vessels with such a small diameter and volume, as long as the medium contained within them is not extremely hazardous, NB/T47003.1 should be used as the standard for design. Generally, a large tank standard is considered only when the diameter is greater than 5 meters or the volume exceeds 100 cubic meters.
The GB/T50341 standard has relatively high requirements; although NB/T47003.1 does not include such a structure, we refer to NB/T47003.1 in our design
