Are the liquefied gas desulfurization unit, the gas desulfurization unit, and the on-site liquefied gas storage tanks all insulated? Why? Are there any regulatory requirements? Can it be removed?
All storage tanks are horizontal tanks on-site, and not liquefied gas spheres in the non-oil product tank area.
The insulation cannot be removed; liquefied gas tanks must have insulation installed. The medium in question is quite special – for every degree increase in temperature, the pressure rises to varying degrees. If vaporization occurs and the pressure inside the tank exceeds safe levels, accidents can easily happen
The purpose of insulation is to reduce heat exchange between the medium and the atmosphere. Any medium that can vaporize at room temperature cannot be removed; those that cannot vaporize can theoretically be removed, provided you’re not afraid of getting burned by the high temperature. :lol:lol
As temperature and pressure increase, shouldn’t it be harder to vaporize? Are there any guidelines for this? Please ask
The critical temperature and saturated vapor pressure of liquefied gases are in a one-to-one relationship: as the temperature rises, the liquid vaporizes and the pressure increases. The design pressure requirements for this are listed on page 17 of the regulations; the relationships between different liquefied gases’ critical temperatures and saturated vapor pressures can be found in the principles of chemical engineering
This insulation is primarily intended to prevent exposure to direct sunlight, as well as to reduce the heating of the contents caused by heat exchange with the outside environment when the external temperature is high. In fact, it can be seen as insulation, with the internal materials not being cold. Insulation not only ensures that the internal temperature does not drop, but it also prevents the internal temperature from rising too much. So this cannot be removed; if removal is necessary, other measures to prevent temperature rise must be employed, such as cooling paint or cooling sprays.
