Good heavens, this is a typical example of reckless construction work. What’s to be done if the pipes aren’t cut away? The remaining pipes in that area must be severely damaged as well; ultrasonic and magnetic particle inspections are necessary.
Looking at the pictures, it seems to be the neck area of the wine bottle forgings. If allowed, break the forgings in the middle and weld shorter wine bottle forgings to the flanges. Flaw detection is not particularly difficult; what’s challenging is whether a pressure test is also required.
Judging from the fracture surface, it is a brittle fracture, indicating that the material is very brittle; first, we need to check whether there is anything wrong with the material.
Management of the construction units must be strengthened; this is unacceptable!
