Pipe diameters are different and directions are different
The design of the pipe does not match the design of the heat exchanger pipe nozzle. The reason why the pipe is smaller may be because the design was not careful in the early stage, and the diameter had to be changed later.
Shell and tube floating head heat exchangers are usually purchased directly according to the selection. This is called stereotyped equipment. The diameter of the equipment inlet and outlet of each type of heat exchanger is certain, so the diameter of the pipe generally needs to be changed. But in most cases, the inlet and outlet diameter of the heat exchanger is larger than the diameter of the piping, but smaller than the diameter of the piping. This is because the heat exchange area of the selected heat exchanger is relatively small.
personal understanding: 1. After the heat exchanger inlet pipe diameter is expanded, the impact force of the medium will become lower, reducing the erosion and vibration of the cooling equipment. 2. The thickness of the pipe is calculated according to the process.
