I would like to ask which standard should be followed for the rectangular gaskets used in air cooler tube bundles? Which type of gasket does it belong to? What are the requirements in terms of material structure and other aspects?
As a supplementary note, what we are using now are 304 flexible graphite-reinforced gaskets. Wrap a layer of polytetrafluoroethylene around it (just like a plumber wraps Teflon tape)
It depends on the medium, temperature, and pressure. We generally use water-based media more often, while process media are used less frequently; in such cases, 1704 gaskets are used.
What is a 1704 gasket? The pressure is generally around 0.5 MPa. The temperature is in the dozens. But I actually don’t consider the medium; I mainly focus on the type of gasket. Standards applied to gaskets
