The anchor plate is located in the foundation; in addition to being used in conjunction with the formwork for positioning the foot bolts, its other purpose is to increase the resistance of those foot bolts, preventing them from being pulled out during use. The formwork is primarily used to control the concrete thickness during pouring, and it is set up according to the design drawings.
Because I saw the unfamiliar term “anchor” and it referred to an “anchor plate” on a equipment diagram, I didn’t read this post. I searched on Baidu and now I understand a bit better. What I am familiar with is only the installation of concrete foundation anchor bolts; I have only seen this mentioned in drawings related to civil engineering, and it is also commonly seen during on-site construction. For things like the bolt holes pre-drilled in the foundation of pump machines, where the foundation bolts are inserted after the equipment is in place, no formwork is needed; there is a hook under the bolts. I have not seen this approach used in the construction of foundations for large compression units. The anchor bolts for the tower foundation are driven directly into the concrete. It is necessary to use formwork to position these bolts; this includes determining the spacing between them as well as their height (the manufacturing process is very precise – the elevation of the top surface of each bolt must be measured and adjusted to be consistent). The lower end of each anchor bolt should have at least a hook; the simplest design consists of an L-shaped hook, while in more complex cases the bolt ends are bent back into a needle-like shape. In some cases, a steel bar is inserted horizontally inside such a needle-shaped end. The most robust design involves welding a square base, with reinforcing plates welded at each corner.
