ASME Certification AI Certificate for Pressure Vessels

As the title suggests, there is an imported heat exchanger in this project; it is considered a pressure vessel. However, no certification regarding the supervision and inspection of its manufacture is included in the accompanying documents. The manufacturer claims that an ASME-certified AI certificate exists. Anyone who has had a similar experience could please share some insights on this matter.
Whether supervision and inspection of imported containers are required depends on where they are installed; supervision and inspection is necessary on land, but not necessarily at sea. The ASME AI certification cannot replace China’s supervision and inspection certificates.
Regarding the inspection of imported pressure vessels, refer to Article 6.4 of TSG 21-2016; in your case, it is necessary to submit the matter to an inspection agency for on-ship inspection.
Imported pressure vessels must undergo supervised inspection by the local inspection agency in the place of use, and only after passing such inspection can they be registered for use. The supervision and inspection of imported pressure vessels is carried out in two ways, which can be chosen based on the location of use: one involves the inspection agency sending inspectors to the country where the vessel was manufactured to conduct supervision and inspection throughout the entire process. Another option is to conduct on-shore supervision and inspection after the container has been manufactured and delivered to the place of use. Furthermore, regardless of the standards applied, for overseas pressure vessels to be sold in China, their manufacturing units must undergo evaluation by Chinese experts and obtain a **Special Equipment Manufacturing License issued by the State Administration for Market Regulation before they can sell the pressure vessels they produce in China.
I have a question: If imported pressure vessels are to be declared for inspection in the local area, must they be declared as special equipment at the time of customs clearance? This is because there is concern that if the goods are not declared in accordance with legal requirements, inspection by the commodity inspection authorities and special inspection agencies will not be possible.
It has already been imported, so don’t just rely on what the manufacturer says; follow our own rules instead. It would be a waste to buy it only for it to not be usable

It’s already too late by the time of customs declaration; when ordering the equipment, you need to check whether the manufacturer holds a manufacturing license in our country. Only after that can you decide on the method of supervision and inspection
A manufacturing license is definitely required; inspection doesn’t necessarily have to be done on-site, and special inspections are even more uncertain. Based on what has been asked so far, there are indeed precedents of clearing customs under normal procedures and then conducting a special inspection. . . .
