Issues with the installation ports of safety valves on storage tanks

I would like to ask everyone: Pressure vessels and storage tanks require the installation of safety valves. Are there any requirements regarding the location where these safety valves should be installed? Where exactly, in the middle of the upper head or somewhere else? Are there any guidelines?
At the top, avoid locations where valves require operator intervention to prevent accidents that could injure people.
The ideal installation location for a safety valve is at the top of the container; in the case of a pressure vessel, it is at the exact center of the upper head, as mentioned by the original poster. But this is clearly not applicable to horizontal containers. For containers with gas-liquid phases, it is generally required that the gas phase be located at the upper part; in other words, it should be placed as high up as possible. Structural constraints may mean it doesn’t have to be in the exact \"middle\" or the very top. Of course, the advantages of this arrangement for maintenance purposes go without saying :)
